Purchase or Start a free Trial for a Plan or an Online Service

This article talks about how you can purchase a plan or online service on monthly or annual billing and how you can cancel the renewal of your purchase or trial. 

Starting your purchase/trial

You can start by visiting the Online service page where you can get a side-by-side overview of all the available plans. You can also switch to our Single services page to explore more single service options available for purchase. To know more about any plan or service, you can click on their name so you can be redirected to their respective page. This way, you can easily find what suits your needs in the most cost-effective way.

Your billing period can be set to monthly or annual. It is important to notice that if you select an annual billing period, you get significant discounts compared to the monthly one:






Note: The fees shown on the MarineTraffic website do not include VAT (which is charged to EU residents for transactions inside the EU).

Now, as already mentioned, each service is different. Once you have decided which one you are the most interested in, click on the respective Start free trial button (you are entitled to a 7-days trial period for free) or the Purchase Now button.

You will then be presented with a new page to review your selection, your billing details, your payment methods, and other useful information, as well as, answers to Frequently Asked Questions (left side of the screen).

In order to complete your purchase, you must first accept that no refunds are possible and that this is a single-user license (Terms of Agreement) using the relevant check-boxes. Upon acceptance, you can finalize your purchase (or start your free trial) by clicking on the relevant button.

Once you are done with the above-mentioned steps, the online Service selected will be added to your MarineTraffic account. You will be able to get an overview of your service at any time. This way, you can view various useful information regarding your subscription.

Canceling your purchase/trial

If you do not want to be billed at the next billing date (or at the end of your trial period) you should click on the Do not renew button that is found in the Billing Section, under the 
My Subscription panel. You can select one of your services or click on the last Do not renew button to stop all of them.
