Every photo can be displayed on its own page so that you can take a closer look at it and get access to all information and details regarding it.
Simply, click on the photo that interests you after performing your search and you will be transferred to the Photo Details page of it.
The page is divided into three main areas:
- Photo Display area
- Photo Carousel area
- Info area
The Photo Display Area is the part of the screen that your selected photo is displayed on. Use the arrows located at both sides of the photo to display the next or the previous photo.
At the bottom of this area and on the right, there are the control buttons which let you interact with the page structure.
The left and right arrows will perform the same action with the bigger arrows that were described above - display previous/next photo respectively. Clicking on any of the four adjacent control buttons will result in:
- retracting the Photo Carousel area
- retracting both the Photo Carousel and the Info area
- displaying the photo in full-screen (even up to its original size!)
- retracting the Info area
You are also able to rate the photo from the bottom left side of the Photo Display area.
The Photo Carousel area is located below the main Photo Display area. It contains a series of photos from the Photo Directory that are relative to the one displayed above.
On the Info area, you are able to get all the details regarding the photo, the vessel on it and the photographer of it.
Note the "Suggest Photo Removal" option which you can use to inform our moderators if you think that a certain photo should be removed (because of a copyright breach, for example).
Click on the Photographer tab to see more photos from this photographer. You can also use the "Contact the Photographer" option to get in touch with him using the form that will pop-up.
Use the "X" button to close the whole Photo Details page or click on the "Upload a photo" button to upload your own photos.
Note: You can also enable photos to be displayed on the Live Map from the Live Map Toolbar Layers and click on any of them in order to be able to get to the Photo Details page directly from the Live Map.
