Enter the My Account Section and click on the My Managed Vessels option. This option will be available after the above criteria have been met.
Click on the Claim Vessels tab and then click on the Add Vessel button. In the field that is brought out, type the name of the vessel that you wish to claim and select it from the drop-down list.
The subject vessel's Name (click on it to get to her Details page) will be displayed below along with her MMSI and Type. Click on the Request Approval link to submit your request to us. You can also click on the X button to reset your request. If you do so, you will have to repeat the process from scratch.
All requests are manually reviewed by MarineTraffic in an attempt to make sure that no fake requests will become accepted (which would result in the allocation of vessels to fake owners/operators).
Note I: You are able to upload a document (e.g Certificate of Registry) that further validates your claims prior to requesting approval. Simply, click on the Add button and upload the Document using the form that will pop-up.
While your request is being reviewed, the subject vessel will be placed at the Pending requests section. You will be informed of the outcome via e-mail. Upon approval, the subject vessel will be placed in the Managed Vessels list (under the Managed Vessels tab).
