AIS Logger is a simple computer software that may be used as an AIS-data viewer/logger for data received by AIS-transponders. The program has been developed by the MarineTraffic team itself to provide its contributors with a user-friendly and simple utility.
The main advantage of AIS Logger is that it automatically runs as a service whenever you start your computer which is ideal for "headless" (dedicated) installations. Thus, if you own an AIS receiver with a serial output and you wish to share your incoming AIS-data with MarineTraffic, this forwarding utility is ideal!
