MarineTraffic AIS Station Operator Contest 2016

The "MarineTraffic AIS Station Operator Contest" for 2016 is on since March 1st, 2016 and will run until January 10th, 2017.

All MarineTraffic registered users are eligible to take part in the contest as long as they are operators of an AIS station and contribute to the collection of AIS data.

If you want to be part of the contributors' community, all you have to do is to add your receiving station!

New stations that are created during the course of the contest can participate as well and compete for the prizes that will be awarded. Depending on the stations' performance, prizes will be awarded to top contributors.

Every month, the ranks will be updated and each station's individual ranking will be denoted with the respective badge on the MarineTraffic station's details page (you can get an overview of all stations’ status in the contest here).

During the competition, special prizes will be announced and awarded to the AIS-receiving stations that are doing remarkably well!

Note that a different path to victory has also been introduced for inland stations covering lakes and rivers. Click here to learn more.
