    Dear Osvaldo,

    Thank you for your response.

Please note that in order for the record of this vessel to be created in our database, this vessel must have an AIS Transponder installed. If it is installed, details such as the IMO and MMSI numbers, Vessel name, etc, must be entered in it. Then the AIS transponder must be kept active, so as for it to be transmitting the signals.

Our system will automatically create a record for the vessel as soon as our antennas collect a few signals from her Transponder. Additionally, kindly note that the vessel needs to be located in an area under our Terrestrial AIS coverage.

You can check our coverage with these instructions: Display AIS-receiving Stations on the Live Map

With that said, vessels as the ones discussed above, with an IMO number, must have an AIS transponder. However, allow me to add that warships often use invalid or already existing MMSI numbers, for the military purposes.

I hope the above helps clarify things.

    Kind regards,

    Dear Osvaldo,

    Thank you for your response.

After looking into this, I could not find any record in our database of the vessel that you are referring to. Therefore, it is possible that if the picture relates to no recorded vessel, it could not be uploaded.

With that said, if you have found the record of this vessel on the MarineTraffic website, please copy the link of the vessel's details page and paste it here, so as for us to investigate further.

    Thank you in advance!

    Kind regards,

    Hola!!

I have not found the vessel ARA SARANDI in the MT database. I did find in the IMO database: "GISIS: Ship and Company Particulars" where it appears as IMO 4510443, Argentine flag, call sign LOAO, MMSI 701815000, destroyer owned by Argentine govt Sec Marina IMO 0122980. Year of construction 1984. Are these data enough to be included in the MT database?

On the left the destroyer ARA SARANDI. On the right the corvette ARA ROBINSON, IMO 4510522 also the subject of a previous request for inclusion in the database.

    Kind regards

    Dear Vlada:
very good answer. I understood your explanation. I can only hope that sometime these two ships, the SARANDI and the ROBINSON will put into service their transponder.
Thank you very much and best regards

    Osvaldo
