I cannot download photographs. I am asked to put down my user name and password but the message comes back stating it does not recognise my email address which I know is correct. I am a free used, has this anything to do with it?

    Regards

    J Branford

I have also received this message when trying to upload photo files less than half the 12 MB limit.  The problem was evidently fixed and I was once again able to upload a few photos, then the same problem recurred.  I've been using the site for over 2 years, and have uploaded over 5000 photos with a quality rating average of 4.9, but I am getting frustrated with the unreliability of the site;  problems preventing uploads appear, are fixed, then reappear.  I have a back load of photos of over 18 ships, which means, when the site is working again, I spend most of a day catching up.  I'm repeatedly told to "clear cache and cookies" as a standard fix, but my own computer is never the problem...it's at the MT end; I do nothing and the service is up again in a few days, only to go down again.  Because of the unreliability of the site, I'm disappointed but considering giving up participation on the site; the frustration overrides the satisfaction.  I'm wondering if other users have such inconsistent quality experiences.

Mike / Denny.  I have had this "file size" flag come up a few times.  Of the 4 browsers available I use Firefox or Edge.  When this red flag comes up I have found Chrome gets through.  You may want to give this a try.  It certainly is annoying and hope a cure has been found.  The very old suggested cure of clearing cookies / cashe has not worked for me.
