    Dear Benjamin,

    Thank you for contacting us.

First of all can you please let us know the correct MMSI for your vessel? The MMSI number provide above is a 10-digit number.

    All MMSI numbers are 9-digit.

Further to that, if you cannot contact the manufacturer of your AIS transponder then we can add the new MMSI in our database.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

    Best regards,

I have tried the manufacturers software (for the AIS transponder), but without luck.

So, if you would change the boats information, that would really be appreciated.

    Old MMSI number 275049130.

New MMSI number 219022322. (this is the correct number ;))

And also, the boat is now a danish vessel, if you can change that too.

Thanks a lot for you help!

It won´t help nothing, anyone to tweak the MArinetraffic database! Everyone else will see your faulty MMSI including the danish authorities...

when you tell us the manufacuturer and model of your AIS Transponder we might help you to find some one who can reset your Transponder

with the AIS2pro Software you have, you can´t change the MMSI without knowing the proper procedure, wich you won´t get from anyone as a consumer.

so you need help from someone who may change it for you!

    Okay. Just to make sure:

I am supposed to change the MMSI number and Call sign, now that the boat has changed owner and name, right?

    right Benjamin

and in your case you also changed the country the vessel/VHF is registered in, so new MMSI, new Call Sign =>

you have to get your AIS and VHF reprogrammed to the new and correct MMSI and you as an Enduser are not allowed to do this.

Most units need to be sent in to the manufacturer or Importer for a reset and reprogramming!

But, Thalia Tsarli, you said you could change this for me, right? If so, that would really be a great help. ;)

    Hello,

I have escalate this request to the respective department. Note that the MMSI number will be updated in MarineTraffic database only.

It will be addressed as soon as possible. I will keep you updated.

I hope that if, in the meantime, there is anything else I can do for you, you won't hesitate to let me know.

    Best regards,

    Dear Thalia Tsarli,

I have found this post via google search.

I am a young skipper and helping my captain (50 years sailing,) to fix the same issue with the AIS and MMSI.

I do believe I will need to send somewhere the AIS equipment and Raymarine VHF equipment to respective dealers.

Can you help me in finding those respective representatives in Greece and/or Turkey and/or Russia, Moscow?

I can send more information over email if you happen to have a corporate email.

    Thank you!

    Nikolas
