    Dear,

Thank you for your post here and feedback.
This is a major upgrade aiming to a faster and easily updated Live Map, including easier access to our layers and functionalities.
Eventually, this will result in an upgraded user experience.

Hi Guys. Since you updated the website I find it hard to move the map. It would be helpful if you could bring back the cursor arrows so a user can move the map around.

I agree. Looks dark and dingy and old, and hard to see.

I agree with Ibanez. I am having additional problems with the new display: at my normal zoom, 7, all I can see now is the green area grid superimposed over the map. No ships. If I zoom in to level 8, the grid goes away and I can see the ships, but none of the ports are named on the map, only major cities very far inland, and I can't view the map extent I want to. This is a major degradation of service. Please undo it.

    Thank you.

New map is awful - garish colours. Takes ages for ships to appear. This hasn't been a good update. Not the site it used to be

    Dear Chris,
The maps, as other people said, are not correct. Takes ages to load the page and sometime it doesn't show the vessels until you zoom in. Also note that in particular area, Jebel Ali for example, or inner Harbour in Sharjah Hamriyah Free Zone etc, where it used to be water in your map now shows sand.

    Hello all,

Thank you for all these comments and references.
I will forward each separate feedback to the competent department.
The maps will be partly processed and some changes will be made, but, I am not in a position to know how much they will, eventually, change, in terms of appearance.
Regarding the speed, it will definitely be a faster User Experience and, most important, significantly closer to "Live".
When it comes to the Map corrections, we are working on this as well and closely monitoring-reporting the specific points that need to be changed.
You can report any such changes-inconsistencies through submitting a request here:

Just about the time I'm getting ready for a paid subscription to Marine Traffic the programmers make another "improvement" for one reason or another. It seems what was working previously needs to be "broken" again. Sigh.................

What problems were the changes supposed to fix? I had no complaints about the previous site configuration. I say go back to the status quo ante. Thank you.

    Dear Dave,
    Dear Terry,

    Thank you for your post.
We are constantly working on improving our services. This is, of course, not without its drawbacks, which we are working on fixing, as soon as possible.
The previous service was, indeed, working properly, and the changes were forced into the system earlier than should due to external factors.
Despite this, soon, all of you will be able to enjoy a faster and more accurate service, for sure.

When it comes to a specific subscription, you can always upgrade to a Free Trial of the service and see, as we speak, 7 working days after the initial implementation, what is the status of the system.

That is potentially reassuring. However, if the map is still obscured by the green grid overlay in my preferred view and the port cities aren't labeled, it's a deal breaker.

i would like to add the following
-ISSUE NUMER ONE - photos are not loading or loading time is poor!!!!!
-ships are missing or not showing on some of zoom levels
-zoom increments are to big to my taste - zooming in and out can really give you headache
-colors are too dull, gresh and boring - google maps have much better palette

Programmers must be color blind, maps go from bad to worse!

Last update made it all worse. Maps are awful and searched vessel is only highlighted in original view. But there are lots of vessel's names highlighted too and it is hard to find "my" vessel among all the highlights, please reverse!
Changing zoom I now always lose my vessel, no highlighting anymore. Sometimes I have to return several times back to search to pick my vessel.
This development is really-really bad :-(
