Yeah, it seems that MT confuses the MSC Seaside currently cruising the Caribbean with its sister ship MSC Seaview currently built in Monfalcone. Why is that so? Never seen this before and I follow many cruise ships being built in docks.

    Hello Trond-Martin ,

Thank you for contacting us.I can find a record under MMSI: 248392000 for MSC SEASIDE which is currently reports MSC SEAVIEW as name. We are going to update the record with the correct name as soon as possible.

This vessel is sailing in ADRIA - Adriatic Sea and has Malta flag.

As I can see in the Vessel's Wiki section of this vessel, in the ex name history it is clearly stated that the latest position reported for name MSC SEASIDE was on 2018-04-01 23:02:00.

Further to that, there is a record for MSC SEASIDE with MMSI: 247387700 with no latest positions.

I hope that the issue will be resolved as they update the name is updated properly in our system.

    I remain at your disposal.

    Best regards,

    Hello Patrick,

The name reported by AIS for this vessel is MSC SEAVIEW.

If the name is updated on the AIS transponder, it will automatically be updated in our system as well. I hope this helps.

    Best regards,

I think you misunderstand me. MSC Seaside is a cruise vessel you can find here

    https://www.marinetraffic.com/de/ais/home/centerx:-84.7/centery:21.2/zoom:11

in the Caribbean. You can see its latest position, but other vessel details are not available (photos, past track etc.)

The other ship (MSC Seaview) is currently on its sea trials in the Adriatic sea. This is not the same vessel. Please make sure that MSC Seaside will be available just like it was since the end of 2017
