Problem updating AIS position - works in

    I am Alexa Joy Tan, Customer Support Representative at MarineTraffic and I will be glad to help you with our services.

    It is my understanding that you are having trouble with the position update of your vessel ROSA on our website. Please do correct me if I am wrong. 

    I have checked the vessel's record and I can see that the most recent update that we've received from her was last 2019-11-24 23:20 UTC via our Satellite AIS Network.

    While all MarineTraffic users have access to positions recorded by our network of terrestrial stations, satellite AIS positions are available with our satellite online services.
    When you do not see updated positions and/or get the message "out of range", then the vessel is far away from terrestrial stations and can only be tracked via satellite. This is further indicated by a green banner that reads 'Newer position available via satellite'. As a result, you can only see her latest terrestrial position. 

    If you wish to track a specific number of vessels in your fleet via satellite, you may consider our SAT Flexible.

    You will also need to activate the "SAT" button for the vessel you're interested in.
