Ais station sending different vessel info for 250005997

    I had to zoom in and then I can see my Yacht but as 2 separate vessels.

    Dear Sean, 

    Thank you for your post. 

    Upon checking, I have noticed that there two vessel records created in our database under same MMSI 250005997. One record is under the name BILBO and the second one is under BILBO 11.9V. 

    As far as I can see both records are active and that is the reason you can see two separate vessels`icons on the Live Map. 

    I kindly ask you to check the settings in your transponder as it looks like your vessel was transmitting two different names. Have you performed any changes recently?

    The unit seems to send the battery status when at rest. I am sailing tomorrow so will report back

    Can you remove the vessel with the name Bilbo 11.9v , I have returned the unit to Amazon as it is not fit for purpose

    Dear Sean, 

    Thank you for your follow up post. 

    Please be kindly informed that we are not able to delete any vessel record from our database especially considering the fact that both vessel records were active during the last 3 months. 

    I would like to bring to your attention that we have received the most recent update from Bilbo 11.9v which is now transmitting her name as BILBO 11.8V, while the record under BILBO name remains out of range since September 8th. 

    At this point, I would like to note that after 3 months from now on, we will be able to check if any of these records were not active and will be able to merge the records to have only one correct record in our database. Until then, unfortunately, no actions can be taken. 

    I hope I was able to help you with your concern. Let me know if anything else is needed.

    That is fine and that is why I returned it. It was causing ghost vessels. I explained this to Matsutec but they ignored the comments. I will get one from the MT shop

    I hope the issue with the AIS will be resolved soon. 

    Please contact us 3 months later in order to check again if it will be possible to merge the vessel records.
