PS06 API doesn't return any data when the interactive map shows a vessel

I have bene using the PS06 API for some time now without any issues, Yesterday and today when I went to use it to get vessel info for the lower Mississippi River, it is returning no data for the min/max coordinate pairs that I specify. I can see on the MT interactive map that there is a vessel right in the middle of the bounding box that I created. Is this API down for some reason?

I have plenty of credits and this API call works in other areas of the river. The vessel that I am looking at above was last received six hours ago. Could it be that the map shows a longer history than the API will return?

I tried setting timespan:2880 which I interpret to mean that I want all vessels that have been seen within the last 48 hours, but no change in behavior.
