Vessel name not is updating to the correct name
We have noticed that your database is not updating the name of our buoy, the system seems to be holding onto a typo from when the AIS system was being setup and is displaying MINESTRO MGS BUOY rather than the correct name MINESTO MGS BUOY
Is it posable to get the name deleted so it can pick up the correct name from the AIS system?

Dear Mark,
I would like to inform you that, since the vessel has not an IMO number, we cannot edit the category and change it to "Buoy" or "MGS".
Unfortunately, no changes will take place.
If you have any other suggestion please feel free to share them with us.
I remain at your disposal for any questions you may have.
Kind regards,

Hello again,
Apologies for my mistake above. The vessel does not have an IMO number so as for us to use the more detailed vessel types and replace the existing one with "Buoy".
At this point, I would like to clarify that "Buoy" is not an AIS trasmitted type. So, since the vessel has only a MMSI number, we can update the record with one of the generic types. You can take a look at them here:
We can change it to either Navigation Aid or Other.
I hope that the above were helpful. Please let me know how you want us to proceed.
Kind regards,

Thank you for the response's
It quite a unique type of buoy and there are not a lot of options in the list for Floating AtoN, so 31 was the code used during the setup, witch covers a multitude of types 'Light Vessel/LANBY/Rigs'. I did wonder if it should really be code 3 as used by platforms and windfarms.
The key is that its AIS role is to warn others that it is there and that they need to navigate around it. so 'navigation aid' would be fine.
Kind regards, Mark
