Single Vessel Positions (PS07) returning empty object though IMO and position are known

When I call this API for e.g. IMO 8768232 (Maersk Resolute) I receive an empty object.

I included no timespan:

https://services.marinetraffic.com/api/exportvessel/v:5/[mykey]/imo:8768232/protocol:jsono

On the website there is a position known.

Position Received: 2018-10-21 12:21 UTC
Latitude / Longitude: 55.10483° / 3.833833°

Why do I receive an empty object is the data is available?

  No record in the MarineTraffic database during the defined timespan.
  
  That was clear to me so I did not send a timespan not realizing the default is 2...
  In other words, it is not possible to get a position with PS07 - Single Vessel Positions if your latest record is more than 2880 minutes old?

  Maybe think of changing it so any record can be retrieved, e.g. with a negative timespan.
