    Dear Mike,

    Thank you for your response.

With regards to your previous vessel, I have forward this case to our competent team in order to look whether the vessel transmissions contain the new name and, if they do, we will update it accordingly.

I will let you know when I have an update.

With regards to your vessel, please note that we need to receive transmissions both for static details and positional information.
For this reason, once your AIS system is up and running, please leave it on for a couple of days in an area under our terrestrial AIS coverage.
Once we receive the required amount of positions, a record for your new vessel will be automatically updated.

I hope this clarifies things further.

I remain at your disposal for anything else.

    Kind regards,

    Dear Mike,

Thank you for your response and for the short delay.

I am sorry to learn of this issue you are facing.

I have tried to look into this with the MMSI numbers of the vessel you mentioned, but unfortunately I have not managed to locate them.
I have also searched with the name and I can see these two records:
    https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/details/ships/shipid:1497238/mmsi:367165630/vessel:DOUBLE%20EXPOSURE
    https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/details/ships/shipid:3552161/mmsi:338074723/vessel:DOUBLE%20EXPOSURE
however non corresponds to the MMSI for your vessel.

Can you please let me know if your new vessel transponder is old and transmitting?
Moreover, can you please let me know if the MMSI 367165630 is your old vessel? Do you by any chance know if the new owner has changed the name, MMSI, and Call Sign of the vessel or if they remain the same?

Thank you in advance for your response.
I look forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards,

    Hi Iliana

Sorry, I entered the MMSI incorrectly.  The first boat you have listed is our old boat a PDQ36 - MMSI #367165630. The boat is now called McGuffin and is owned by Tom Munroe of Atlanta, Georgia.  I have no idea if he has applied for new MMSI number or a new Call Sign.

We are Canadian and our new catamaran is a Leopard 43.  We have kept the same name “Double Exposure” but we were issued a NEW MMSI #316015856.  Our Call Sign has remained the same CFK9266.  We do not have our new AIS system up and running yet so we are NOT transmitting an AIS signal.

    Thanks
    Mike McKinnon

    Dear Mike,

    Thank you for waiting.

Our team has looked into this and, unfortunately, the new owner of your old vessel is still transmitting the old details.
For this reason, we unfortunately won't be able to make the change, as it will be overridden by the incorrect transmissions.

If you still have the new owner's contact details, we would advise you to reach out to him to let him know, as this will also affect vessels in his vicinity and the proper identification of the vessel by the respective authorities, should it be needed.

I understand that this may be optimum, but I also hope you can understand that there are certain limitations upon us due to this.

Please feel free to reach out to me regarding anything else.
I will be more than glad to assist you.

    Kind regards,
