With regardst to Kailua Kona, we already have a port:
    https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/details/ports/12860
but our team has also noticed that the coordinates you mentioned do not have any ports near them.
If there is another port you wish to add or if there are other coordinates, please feel free to let me know so that I may inform our team.

Please feel free to make any other suggestions in the future.

Thank you for adding or updating the ports I requested. Concerning Kona:

There is a small pier near the position I requested that allows small live boats of cruise ships like the "Pride of America" to bring their people ashore as the pier itself is too small for such large vessels.

Nevertheless this mentioned ship arrives in Kona every week and so it would make sense to add the anchorage position in Marinetraffic.

    Thank you!

    And concerning Langkawi:

The new position you chose for the port is not the cruise pier, please change the position as seen on the image below:

    Dear Patrick,

Thank you for your response and my apologies for the short delay.

I have heard back from our team and, regarding Kona, the coordinates suggested (N19° 38'02, E155° 59'49) are, unfortunately, not near any (discernible) land mass. Could you please review and let me know if the coordinates should differ?

With regards to the anchor icon, this marker is only an indicator of the main facilities of a port. We define ports with boundaries covering an area, so when a port is like Langkawi with a main harbor area near Kuah and more facilities scattered about, we make sure the boundaries cover all areas of interest. However, the marker can only be in one point, so we usually place it near what is the busiest and most organised part.
Please rest assured that the pier you are referring to covered by the port.
If you are local to the area and you have any info as to whether the pier is known as a separate facility (marina for example) with a different name, please let it know and we will be more than happy to investigate and add it with its own separate marker.

I hope this helps clarify things further.
Please feel free to reach out to me regarding anything else.
    I remain at your disposal.

    Kind regards,

    Hi Iliana,

thanks for your reply. Sorry, I mixed up something with the corrdinates, it should be N19° 38'02, W155° 59'49, so I mixed up East with West.

    Thanks!

    Thanks!

But Kailua Kona is not a port where ships dock but one where they only achor (e.g. cruise ship Pride of America at the moment and every Wednesday between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.). So could you please add the anchorage position just where Pride of America currently is?
