Nautical Charts NOT updated

    Dear Simon,

    Thank you for contacting MarineTraffic and bringing this up.

    I can understand your concern, but I would like to inform you that our Nautical Charts provider,Transas,
    is responsible for updating the nautical maps, shown on our Live Map.

    These updates are usually take place every six months. 

    However, I would like to suggest you contacting Transas here:
    and report your concerns, so as for you to better monitor the progress of your request.

    I hope they will be updated as soon as possible.

    Thank you for your swift reply.


    However, it can never be my responsibility as a user/costumer, to contact Transas on your (Marinetraffic) behalf.

    Marinetraffic is selling a service, where users are able to have the Nautical Charts as a background layer. This means, that its defiantly also Marinetraffics responsibility to make sure that they receive updates to these charts according to your contract with Transas.


    If you say that the updates are to take place every six months. Then I would strongly recommend you to forward this issue to your legal department, for them to address this contractual breach towards Transas.


    However, if you are serious about me contacting Transas on the behalf of Marinetraffic, I will be happy to do so.

    Kindly inform to whom I can forward my invoice for this service.

    I am really sorry to hear that my reply was understood.

    It was not my intention to ask you contact Transas on Marinetraffic behalf.
    This definitely is not your responsibility, as a user, since we constantly contact Transas, as they are our Nautical Charts provider.

    Further to that, what I was meaning was to contact them, providing your concerns, so as for you to better monitor your request.

    However, could you please be kind enough as to provide me with more precise information regarding the inconsistencies you have noticed in our Nautical Map, so as for me to further review the case?
