Past track speed problem

  • Official comment

    Hello Patrick,

Thank you very much for brining this to our attention here in our community.

Please note that all users have access to vessels' past track, which are indicated via a coloured track based on the speed of the selected vessel along the route. This means that if you don't have access to the functionalities of the Voyage Data service, for example, you don't have access to the waypoints and their respective speed. You can learn more about it here:

Despite that, I will be glad to look further into this case, given that you have mentioned you could properly access such information until 11 a.m. CET of 23/07/2019, and there may also be something regarding the font size.

Would you be kind enough to provide me with a screenshot of what you see?

Any additional information will be most appreciated, as it will help me have a clearer picture of this case.

I look forward to hearing from you! Thank you in advance.

    Kind regards,

May I explain it to you via a screenshot?

Up until yesterday morning I could see the speed of each ship during the last 24 hours not only by the colour of the track (yellow --> slow and blue --> fast), but also thanks to the indicator showing the respective speed at that time (e.g. 21.5 knots for MSC Musica in my screenshot).

But as you can see, it always shows these 21.5 knots no matter if the track is green, blue or yellow. And that did not occur up until yesterday.

    Hello again Patrick,

Thank you for sharing such details.

Please note that we will need to look further into your account in this specific case. Having said that, I have sent you an email regarding this matter. We can continue our communication there.

In case you don't receive the email, please let me know, so I may re-send it to you.

    Thank you in advance.
