    Dear Brenton,

Thank you for contacting MarineTraffic Support.

I will be glad to assist you.

Kindly note that MarineTraffic relies on the AIS transmissions of the vessel to receive data such as the destination of the vessel among others. In this case, the reported destination of the vessel was Boston, a generic name that corresponds to more than one registered ports.

According to how our algorithm works, the port appears as Boston UK, based on some criteria that are fulfilled. Unfortunately we are unable to change this because even if we manually did, based on the AIS transmissions, the port would change back to Boston UK.However, apparently the name was automatically amended during the progress of the vessel's voyage to BOSTON US.

I hope the above helps clarify things.
Please feel free to reach out for additional questions.
We remain at your disposal for anything further.

    Kind Regards,
