    Hello Andrew,

Thank you for contacting MarineTraffic Support.

I completely understand that the new Nautical Charts do not meet your needs. Indeed there are some differences in the appearance and several aspects of the new Nautical Charts view, however, we would like to assure you that the main functionality of the service remains the same.

Nevertheless, we value your feedback as we see it as an opportunity to learn and improve. We will definitely pass it on to our competent team for them to consider it in future updates.

If you have any questions or doubts, please do not hesitate to contact us at any time.

    Kind regards,

    Alexa

I agree the new nautical charts powered by C-maps are not as good as the previous one used. There is a lot less details, the berth and anchorage numbers are not shown, it is almost impossible to read the buoys number because it is directly on top of the icon, the safety depth is set at 20m and cannot be change so all areas less than 20m depth are blue. To me it doesn’t worth it to pay annual fees to have this chart, might as well use the basic map.

    Hello Alexa

Thanks for forwarding it to them, If marinetraffic want to retain these charts have them as a selectable option as well as the original Transas TX97 ones.

    Thanks again

    Andrew

Also thanks Real Caouette for the supporting comments. It is one of the services supplied to me in exchange for my AIS data feed so cost isn't the issue for me as such.

    Hello....

It is with great regret that we must also tell you that the new nautical charts are far from satisfying us. And…,…, you have to pay for this “ rubbish ”…, it's scandalous for a site like MarineTraffic

("first in the world's" for this kind of website)

This is the opinion of a user of MarineTraffic since the early hours

Please revert to the previous card type as soon as possible. These were perhaps not perfect (zoom shift and not perfect fit between different maps in some places) but it was much better than the real "shit" that the site currently offers us ...

Apologies for the use of certain words...but…

    Best regards in Belgium

    Marc
