Thank you Hugo for contacting us regarding this.

Kindly allow me to explain that for a record to be created in the MarineTraffic database  that we need to receive a number of both AIS signals and positions via the vessel's active AIS transponder. When an asset appears as an icon on the map but does not have a detail page (and does not produce any results when searched on the search bar) this means that though we have received some AIS transmissions, they are not enough for the record to be completely created.

Based on that, please make sure to keep the vessel's AIS transponder on and to send us both signals and positions so that the record can be automatically created. You also need to ensure that the vessel is located close to one of our active terrestrial stations. You can check our coverage following these instructions.

I hope this helps but if you have any further questions or concerns,
please do not hesitate to reach out again.
We will be more than happy to assist.

    Kind Regards,

OK, I just have to wait and see if it shows up in the database I guess. The AIS has been active since 2016 and I can see the mast and it is working fine.
