Does AIS generated by Marine Traffic or On Course or display on commercial ships or via transceivers?

  Hello Charles, 

  Thank you for contacting us. 

  I would like to share that the AIS signals are received by our network from the AIS transponder of each vessel. 

  OnCourse, on the other hand, operates via the internet using GPS technology to provide the location of each mobile device using it.
