Incorrect vessel information
Today I was interested in two British naval vessels sighted off the North East coast, in the North Sea.
Marine Traffic gave the name of one ship and it's position on the map online. When I clicked for more information the pop-up showed the same name as that identified on the position marker, however it showed a different type of British Naval vessel. I have no doubt that both vessels were in close proximity at the time, off the coast, however the position of only one was shown. Is this a common problem with the site? It's hardly a reason to pay for any form of 'membership. etc.

Thank you for your email regarding this. I have replied to the email, however I noticed that it was from a 'no reply' source, so I am replying here.
Sorry, I didn't keep any of the information. I know that an aircraft carrier was off the Durham coastline in the north sea - it was visible to the naked eye and many photos of it were on social media. The only vessel that was shown on the screen was HMS Dragon, and when I clicked on that it showed an aircraft carrier. HMS Dragon is a destroyer. The carrier was said by those on social media to be HMS Prince of Wales. There were no other naval aircraft shown on the screen, and from looking at the photos on social media and having seen the carrier that day, off the coast, I am in no doubt that the carrier was present. A search on your site was showing the Prince of Wales as being in The Solent.
I'm sorry that I have no other information.Thank you for contacting me.
