New past track tool is not user friendly
Hi guys,
I just noticed that you introduced a new tool for the past track mode.
But in my opinion you should revert to the previous version as the new tool is not very handy to use, especially if you want to see the past track and speed of many vessels on a daily base. Now you have to click many buttons every time you change the vessel in order to see its current speed. Sadly also the fixed time lapse scales (x60, x3600 etc) are no longer available.
I used to track the past 24 hours of each ship while not being logged in at my MT account in order to avoid these annoying arrows on the past track. But in order to see the ship's speed at a specific point in the past, from now on I have to login.
And: the past track as shown before the update (with the different colours depending on the speed) only appears when the whole time lapse is over, before that a very narrow, almost invisible line is appearing.
Due to your heavy changes in the past track mode I can no longer use the otherwise innovative and beforehand user-friendly past track mode.

Dear Patrick,
Thank you for sharing your feedback about the new tool or Playback-Past Track.
I would like to inform you that we have recently changed the functionality of the Past Track and Playback tools and they have been combined into one tool.
Allow me to mention that according to product research, our competent team found that since these separated tools provided similar functionality, it would be better for our users' experience to be designed under one tool.Further to that, considering your comments, let me explain that the maximum speed for the old Past Track was x1440. Now the maximum speed available, through the new slider, is x1000 (which means that one second on the Playback refers to 1000 seconds.
Additionally, the "Show Track speed" used to be available for logged out users, but now it is indeed not.
Moreover, the arrows are not displayed when the Playback is playing and for logged in users "Speed" is available, even if they have not purchased any services.
As a last note, let me clarify that the whole past track, with the polyline that has different colour depending on speed, is displayed when the Playback is paused.
Rest assured that all your comments will be shared with our competent team and they will be further considered.
I hope that if there is anything else I can help you with, you won't hesitate to let me know.
Kind regards,
