    Dear Patrick,

Thank you for contacting MarineTraffic Support about the adjusting the coordinates of a Port we display in our system.

My name is Christina, Customer Support Representative, and I would be glad to investigate this matter for you.

From what I gather you are referring to the below port location:

    https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/details/ports/580?name=PATMOS&country=Greece

Kindly be informed that he locations of Ports we propose in the Live Map are usually provided to us by local authorities.

Keeping this in mind, would you please be so kind so as to provide me with a document that supports your claim?

Thereafter, I will be able to escalate your suggestion to our Data engineering Team in order to adjust accordingly.

Looking forward to your reply, and please don't hesitate to ask me any questions you may have.

    Kind Regards,

    Christina

    Hi Christina,

thanks for your reply. As I wrote, the existing port is at the correct location. But due to it being a very narrow and small port, most ships have to anchor a few hundred meters away.

That is the reason why I would recommend the addition of an "anchorage position" at the coordinates I wrote to ensure that also ships anchoring off Patmos island are being recognized as ships visiting the port of Patmos, even though they can't dock at the port itself.

I hope that explains my enquiry.

    Thanks!

    Patrick

    Hi Christina,

I just opened the link you wrote and it refers to the Japanese port of Miyakojima, not Patmos in Greece which is here:
